Discover Riverside
The City of Riverside is a unique fourth class city located within the Kansas City Metro Area in the southeast corner of Platte County. The Missouri River defines the county's western and southern borders. A new levee has recently been completed and a beneficial revenue partnership with the Argosy Casino has helped create a surge in economic opportunities.

Expansion and Growth
Currently, Riverside is proactively encouraging economic development through an extensive capital improvement plan, guided by our award winning Master Plan. The City is poised for a major economic expansion with several development projects on the table, including Downtown Revitalization, South Downtown Projects, Upper Gateway Projects and the exciting Horizons Projects.

It's Mowing Season
 
 

Tall grass is one of the most common code violations in Riverside.  City ordinance requires that grass be kept below 10 inches throughout the year.  If you have questions about this ordinance or have special issues related to your lawn, please contact the Code Enforcement Division at 816-741-3993.

Board Approves 2008-2009 Budget
On June 19, the Board of Aldermen approved the 2008-2009 city budget. Total expected revenues for the upcoming fiscal year are $41,625,879 and total budgeted expenditures are $68,909,627. »
New Board to Focus on Increasing Tourism in Riverside
The Tourism Commission will make recommendations to the Board of Aldermen on how to spend revenue from the City's Transient Guest Tax. »
City Donates Old Siren System
Riverside donated the siren, which was located on the Old Public Safety building, to Wood Heights, Missouri. »
