Welcome to Riverside, Missouri ~
A great American small town

Welcome to the City of Riverside. Visit us and enjoy our prime location– located just minutes north of downtown Kansas City, Missouri, on the tree-shaded banks of the silent and swift Missouri River. Whether you're a resident, local business, or potential development partner, you'll come to love our pioneering spirit and fierce independence. Our citizens have strong roots and a deep commitment to the community. Riverside has both a rich history and a bright future.

Riverside Weighs in on Regional Transit

Every day public transit service gives thousands of people in the metro area independence, choice and travel options. It can help ease growing
commute costs and traffic congestion, and provides greater access to jobs.

Riverside is part of an effort to create a transit proposal for service that would better connect communities in Clay, Platte, and Jackson counties.  The proposal will build on Smart Moves, the region’s transit vision developed by transit agencies, citizen and government input, and the Mid-America Regional Council.

What are our community’s transportation needs? How could improved transit service along major corridors benefit Riverside? Contact the mayor or Board of Aldermen share your story and opinions.

Learn about the Smart Moves proposal effort or find out how to get involved at www.kcsmartmoves.org.
